Larson Bros Prairie State 1929 - Natural

$7,850.00

This guitar was built by an early american guitar company based in Chicago IL. Larson Brothers made different levels of instruments ..this one was a top of the line model for the depression era. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Adirondack Spruce top, and Ebony fingerboard. Very intricate inlay around the body and rosette. Has steel rods inside the body for strength and tuning stability I imagine ! Has had one of those over the nut pieces to raise the action for slide so that tells me it may or most certainly is sure to have a neck issue for regular playing. Very unique guitar and it was appraised by Gruhn several years ago for 10000.00 . I am selling this for the family and they do want to sell it as none of them play guitar. Will come in a hard shell case the case it is in now is just a chipboard case that I would imagine is from the 60's or so . 25.5 scale length, 1.92" nut width, neck profile big and rounded !! Top bout is 10 3/4' almost and lower just over 15"
