Ah those wonderful 1950's ! Harmony made a special run of these guitars I guess to show just how creative you can get with spare pieces and different colors of paint ! This guitar is playable up to about the 4th or 5th fret Cowboy chords the action gets a bit high past that, the neck is fairly straight but these are collectible due to their appearance not so much the playability or sound ! However this thing tuned to open G or E sounds great when used for slide very dobro ish !! Will come in a chip board case just for shipping ! A very affordable vintage guitar !
From here on reverb about another one of these that had been listed.
Overview In the late-'50s, Harmony produced a number of guitars with wild finishes referred to as colorama models. The Caribbean models in particular were small-sized acoustics that featured such finishes. Typically these types of guitars are collected for their bold appearance rather than their playability.
Years of Production: ca. 1956
