2008 Gibson Push Tone Les Paul with HSC Humbuckers Only GOTM May 2008

  • $ 1,795.00

This Guitar is an eye catcher, what more in a flame top would you want ? ...This guitar only comes with the Burst Bucker Pro pickups, I have no idea what happened to the P94's that were included new with most of these, however I have heard that some of them only came with one or the other ! This one is near pristine condition, I can not find a really noticeable ding or scratch. Comes with a Gator Hardshell Case.

Built on innovation
The ability to change pickups by simply unhooking them and pushing them out of the guitar represents a huge - and extremely practical - innovation for guitarists. Gibson USA is proud to introduce the Les Paul Push-Tone - the Guitar of the Month for May 2008. Changing pickups has never been easier. A Gibson-designed system allows players to push the pickups out of the guitar, disconnect the wire clips, and plug in a new set of pickups in a matter of minutes. This Les Paul Push-Tone comes with only the BurstBucker Pro Humbucker set

Neck
The new Les Paul Push-Tone has many of the long-established features of the Les Paul, one of which is Gibson's traditional '50s rounded neck profile. The Les Paul Push-Tone joins Gibson's long list of fine instruments with ebny fingerboards. The resilience of this dense and durable wood makes these fingerboards extremely balanced and stable, and gives each chord and note unparalleled clarity and bite. The fret wire on the Gibson models is a combination nickel and silver alloy (approximately 80 percent nickel and 20 percent silver) specifically designed for long life and superior wear. Classic trapezoid inlays are one of the most distinguishable features of many traditional Gibson models, and the new Les Paul Push-Tone is no exception. The one difference is they are made of maple, giving the Push-Tone a unique look by matching inlays to the Antique Natural finish of the maple body top.

Body
The joining together of a solid mhgny back and maple top is a time-honored tradition at Gibson, and a critical part of making any Les Paul. On the Push-Tone, the mhgny back is matched with a stunning AAA figured maple top. There's something about playing a guitar with perfect tone, balance, and weight. One of the ways Gibson USA achieves this equilibrium is by carving carefully mapped-out chambers in the Les Paul's solid mhgny back using a Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) router before the maple top is glued on. The positioning of the routes was established after careful examination of the resonant characteristics of the Les Paul. In addition to relieving the stress on a player's back and shoulder, these lighter Gibson guitars also enhance the tone palette in a manner unique only to these guitars. The results are comfortable, lightweight guitars that are acoustically louder, with increased sustain and resonance. A newly designed output jack from Neutrik - renowned makers of audio and video connectors - locks your guitar cord in place, preventing the unexpected loss of connection.
