This is a serious jazz guitar …with the amazing looks and fit and finish …..we hardly ever get a guitar in that is better set up and feels this amazing ….it really is ready to play !! Yamaha’s AEX1500 allows you to explore new expressions in a jazz-orientated repertoire. On the one hand, its neck-mounted mini-humbucker reproduces those warm and mellow traditional semi-acoustic tones; on the other, the instrument carries a bridge-loaded piezo system for reproducing realistic amplified acoustic sounds. These two signal sources can be mixed together, offering an extensive palette of voicings and providing extensive tonal tailoring courtesy of the piezo‚Äôs three-band EQ and adjustable (400Hz-2kHz) midrange.

Reflecting its professional sound capabilities, the AEX1500 comes with top-class cosmetic appointments including figured maple body veneers and a bound ebony fingerboard inlaid with pearl position markers.

Mounted in the bone and ebony bridge, the Piezo pickup delivers full crisp acoustic sound. Highly responsive, even the subtlest picking and attack nuances will be reproduced accurately.

The Mini humbucker produces a warm and expressive sound that is full of range and depth. A floating mount is used to allow the top of the guitar to vibrate freely insuring excellent acoustic sound.

Controls Pickup selection is made possible by a 3-way selector. Separate controls for the pickups consist of a 3-band linear EQ with variable mid range (400Hz-2kHz) for the piezo pickup and a tone control for the humbucker. The 3-band EQ controls allow extensive tone control of the piezo pickup right at the playing position. There is also a MIX control which permits balance of the two pickups creating a broad range of sonic possibilities.
