I bought this guitar which had been the victim of a horrendous repair job the top had at least 4 major cracks in it ..and had been glued back with some kind of hideous hard yellow glue and it slathered on  and it sounded like crap ..so I bought it thinking how bad can it be …well it was worse than I thought …so I made a call to my friend a master luthier in Kentucky and 4 months later he brings it back to me …..with a new heavily bear clawed Adirondack spruce top all new Gibson pattern bracing, he saved the original rosettes and pickguard and voila …it is truly magical …plays like the best Gibson you ever put in your hands …and it came to us in a chipboard case and I happened to have a Custom Shop Gibson hardshell case ..and if you are looking for special this is it !! If not for the fact that I have a J50 at home that this same luthier resurrected for me ..this one would be at my house I promise you that !! You wont be sorry buying this unique guitar …..you wont find a better restoration anywhere than what this guy does !!
